Registration

Registrations May Not Be Shared!

You may register by mailing/faxing the registration form. To receive the Early Bird Registration rate, registration forms must be received by Monday, January 28, 2008. All registrations received after that date must pay the regular rate as listed on the registration form. After Friday, February 8, 2008, confirmation letters will not be mailed; you may call (770) 719-2474 to verify registration. After Monday, February 18, 2008, registrations should be completed at the training site.  Purchase orders will only be accepted for groups of 10 or more; and early bird will be extended

Attendance Policy/Educational Credit

In order to award credit, we are required to monitor attendance. The Georgia Department of Education requires that participants accrue 10 hours of actual training (excluding breaks and meals) to receive 1 PLU. No fractional units of PLU credit can be awarded. The maximum number that can be accrued is 1 unit. In order to receive 1 PLU (Professional Learning Unit)/CEU credit you must attend 10 hours of the training. There are 6 hours on Monday and 6 hours on Tuesday. Attendees must make prior arrangements with their local staff development departments for PLUs to be accepted.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be received in writing on or before Monday, January 28, 2008. You will receive a refund, less a $25 service charge. Cancellations received after this date, or failure to attend without canceling in writing, will result in forfeiture of the entire registration fee. Registration may be transferred to another individual without penalty, but please notify our office.

Exhibitor Information

Exhibit booths for publishers, material suppliers, service providers, and novelty vendors will be available. There is a break between sessions in the morning and in the afternoon. Exhibits are also open during lunch. Due to the recent announcement of the extensive renovations to the Sheraton Buckhead Hotel, which will begin February 9, adequate sleeping and meeting rooms will not be available for SAPA's upcoming Conference. Thus, the lovely WESTIN ATLANTA AIRPORT HOTEL will be the site of SAPA of Georgia’s 18th Annual Conference. The decor of the hotel is welcoming and appealing, and the sleeping and meeting rooms are spacious and comfortable. There are several outstanding restaurants within the hotel as well as numerous others within two miles. Each day the hotel offers an excellent luncheon buffet, the cost of which will be discounted for Conference attendees. The hotel has a beautiful indoor pool and sauna as well as a state-of-the-art workout room. The WESTIN ATLANTA AIRPORT HOTEL is easily accessible from I-285, I-85, and I-75 and is away from the congestion of Buckhead.  For those desiring more activity, on Monday afternoon/evening, the hotel will provide free transportation to and from the hotel to the numerous excellent restaurants within a five-mile radius and to Atlantic Station and its variety of restaurants and shopping venues, including Dillard's.

Attendees are responsible for making their own reservations. A block of rooms is being held until February 10, 2008. Our special conference rate is $144.00 single/double plus tax. In order to receive this rate you must identify yourself as part of the conference. Make your reservations now by calling the Westin reservations line at 1-888-627-7211. If you previously made reservations at the Sheraton Buckhead, your reservation will automatically be transferred to the Westin.
